Plan your surgery > Post-operative Outpatient Review
Your first post-operative review will usually be with the specialist dressings clinic nurses to change your dressing and remove sutures as required. This is normally scheduled between seven and ten days after surgery. Further dressings appointments will be arranged as required until your wounds have fully healed.
You will normally see your surgeon again around six weeks following your surgery. It is important to remember that the final results for many cosmetic surgery procedures may not be apparent for several months while the swelling settles down and scars soften. A small number of patients may require revisional procedures, but these are usually minor.
Further follow up appointments may be scheduled if necessary.
